Most users have a few folders they tend to access very frequently. Not everything can be put into My Documents folder, and there's usually a separate folder for downloaded files, another for saved webpages, yet another for sound files and so on. Shortcuts are a handy thing when it comes to saving time on browsing to the desired folder, but they don't work in most applications where you encounter the task of opening files. Use Pathbuddy to create folder shortcuts that would work in all applications.
Pathbuddy is a Windows Explorer add-on that lets you define hotkeys for selecting folders in any application that lets you browse through directories to open or save a file. You define the keys (can be any number or letter on the keyboard plus the Win key) and the program instantly starts watching your actions to supply the defined directory in an application.
The good thing about this tool is that it works right out of the box and doesn't require to write any registry entries etc., so that you don't have to worry about messing up your system with a yet another add-on. The bad thing is that the program has to be running at all times, and that means both eating resources and taking up place in the system tray. Download it today and check it out yourself.
